We cater for couples and singles who enjoy getting away from the hustle and bustle of town and city life. Where the pace is slower and relaxing and yet we have a very good ferry service that runs all day every day. You can be in Kirkwall in 25 mins and enjoy the day on the mainland Touring, Shopping etc. Then  back to Shapinsay to Relax in  our comfortable accomodation.

There is a new Conservatory seating  area on the first floor where the south facing views over to Kirkwall and aspects of the mainland with panoramic sea views of Orkneys main shipping channel. This room is for the exclusive use for our Guests. 

 

Hilton Farmhouse enjoys views over Orkney's main shipping channel and Orkney's main town of Kirkwall with the impressive St Magnus Cathedral in the background. Shapinsay is a small and interesting island with lots to see and do, with a Heritage Centre, Craft outlets, RSPB Reserve, Walks, Beaches, History, Wildlife, Archaeolgy and Quiet roads to cycle. Less than a mile from the ferry terminal we offer courtesy transport to and from the the ferry. Ideal location only 25 mins from Kirkwall by ro-ro ferry. Enjoy good food and accomodation in a relaxed informal atmosphere, with stunning views of surrounding countryside and panoramic sea views.
